About the app
ChargeIndex helps you find high-power (HPC) charging stations and compare them by their actual price per kilowatt-hour. The app shows stations on a map, lets you search for an address, and plans routes from your current location to a chosen station — no account and no sign-up required.
Frequently asked questions
The map is empty or not loading
Charging stations are loaded for the area currently visible on the map. Make sure you have an active internet connection, then pan or zoom to a region you are interested in. If the map tiles do not appear at all, fully close the app and reopen it.
Location does not work
The app needs location permission to centre the map on your position and to plan routes from "My location". You can enable it under Settings → ChargeIndex → Location on your device. Location data is processed only on your device and is not stored on our servers.
The prices look wrong or outdated
Prices are indicative and are aggregated from public and operator sources. Tariffs change frequently and some operators use dynamic or membership-based pricing, so always confirm the final price at the station or in the operator's own app before charging. If you spot a consistently incorrect price, let us know and we will look into it.
Route planning fails
Routing needs a start and a destination plus a selected vehicle and battery level. If a route cannot be calculated, check your internet connection and that both points are within a supported region, then try again. Persistent failures can be reported by email with the start and destination you used.
Do I need an account?
No. The app works without any login or registration. We do not collect device IDs, advertising IDs, or analytics events.
How do I delete my data?
The app does not create a user account, so there is no profile to delete. App settings (such as your selected vehicle) live only on your device and are removed when you uninstall the app. Temporary server-side caches contain no personal identifiers and are deleted automatically.
